Located on the east coast of Sal Island, Kite Beach is one of the most popular spots for surfing. It offers a wide beach with perfect conditions for intermediate and expert riders. Keep in mind that this is a place with waves, which, although easy, are not ideal for beginners.
This spot is internationally renowned for its powerful waves. It is only suitable for the most advanced riders, as its tubular waves reach enormous sizes on days with high swells, reaching heights of 3 to 6 meters.
This area has a wide range of hotels, the water is calmer, and the waves are smaller, but the wind is too gusty as it is side-offshore, so it is not the perfect place for beginners. If you are staying at a hotel in Santa Maria, you can return by riding downwind from Kite Beach. At the western tip, there is a high-quality wave break called Ponta Sino.
Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of Cuba's capital, Havana. Visit the historic Old Havana district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy the music, colonial architecture, and hospitality of the locals.
Discover the underwater beauty of Cuba's coral reefs. The island has numerous diving and snorkeling spots that offer the opportunity to observe an incredible variety of marine species.
Visit the charming cities of Trinidad and Cienfuegos, stroll through their cobblestone streets, discover colorful colonial houses, and immerse yourself in the local culture and music.
While kitesurfing is exciting, you can also enjoy Cuba's beaches by simply relaxing in the sun and taking in the Caribbean scenery.
